Crushed Coca-Cola Can

This realistic drawing was created using layers of mixed media. First, a photograph was taken of a crushed Coca-Cola can for reference. The base was then done in marker. Pencil crayon was used over top to colour in the value. Different pencil crayon colours were blended together as a shading technique. White paint was added to the highlighted areas to help them shimmer and pop out. The casted shadow was shaded in using graphite pencil to further the illusion that the object exists in 3-Dimensional space.
